List Nears Completion with Latest Signings

29 January 2024

As we eagerly count down to the first official practice matches of 2024 with just under 50 days to go, Werribee is thrilled to unveil another injection of youth geared up to take on the upcoming VFL campaign.

In the latest batch of signings, Werribee has added defenders Stefan Radovanovic and Riley Bice, and versatile forward Jamie Quick.

Radovanovic emerges as a key asset to strengthen the club’s backline, at 191cm, he has the versatility to match up against a range of opponents. Radovanovic has VFL experience, tallying 27 games for Carlton Reserves across 2021-22, including every game in the 2022 campaign before missing all of last season through injury.

Jamie Quick follows in the footsteps of Jack Riding last year by signing for Werribee from North Ballarat. Standing at 185cm tall, Quick can find the goals from anywhere and led North Ballarat’s goal kicking the past two seasons, kicking 51 goals last year, including 12 goals in their finals campaign. Quick joins Werribee with a year of VFL exposure, with the former Geelong listed player earning five games for the Cats in 2023, where he averaged a goal a game.

Riley Bice, a former Murray Bushranger, joins Werribee following an impressive stint for Ovens and Murray powerhouse Albury. Bice’s 2023 campaign was capped off by winning the Tigers’ best and fairest, following two previous runner-up finishes. Similar to Radovanovic and Quick, Bice arrives with VFL experience, featuring in a number of games for GWS in 2022.

Werribee football manager Ash Collins said the club has added some promising talent and addressed key needs with the three new recruits.

“We’re delighted to have these three guys join the club,” Collins said.

“We’re excited to bring in Stefan’s experience and leadership depth. We have always rated Stefan very highly. He is extremely dedicated to his craft, and we believe he will fit in very well with our defensive structure.”

“Jamie is a promising, versatile forward who is hard at the footy and has been able contribute goals at all levels he has played at. We feel he can compliment our key forwards really well.”

“Riley is an exciting prospect from Albury: We’ve tracked him for quite some time and believe he has damaging attributes to contribute immediately.”
