The Werribee Football Club is thrilled to announce it has extended its long-standing partnership with MatchWorks for a further two years.
The new agreement will see the employment service provider remain as a Gold Sponsor until at least the end of 2020, taking its relationship with Werribee into a 16th season and entrenching its position as one of the club’s longest serving partners.
Werribee CEO Mark Penaluna welcomed the partnership extension.
“We’re really pleased to have MatchWorks on board again to continue what has been a very fruitful and long-standing relationship,” Mr Penaluna said.
“Both organisations have seen enormous growth and evolution over the 14 years of their partnership, but both have remained as committed as ever to their work with the local community, so it is a great fit.”
As a community-based, not-for-profit employment service provider, MatchWorks specialises in finding and skilling job seekers from all backgrounds for businesses of all sizes at no cost.
The organisation operates right across Australia, its Werribee site on Synnot Street one of 64 locations in Victoria alone.
Through their partnership, Werribee and MatchWorks work together to deliver initiatives such as the genU Wyndham Workplace Big Day Out, a program that inspires businesses to volunteer their employees to support and have fun alongside people with a disability.
“MatchWorks is very proud of its 14-year partnership with Werribee, and we’re pleased to be signed up for another two years,” MatchWorks Regional Manager Mark Davison said.
“Along with the club, we are committed to building the local community and getting people into work, and we wish everyone involved the best of luck for the new season.”
