Werribee ruckman Kyle Galloway could be sidelined for almost two months after breaking his collarbone.
Galloway was on the receiving end of a straightforward bump in the Tigers’ development side’s loss to Port Melbourne at North Port Oval on Saturday, but it was enough to inflict some serious damage.
It comes as a big blow for the former Sydney Swans rookie, who made his senior debut against the Bulldogs the previous week on the back of a strong pre-season.
Galloway has undergone surgery today and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
Brad Xavier will also be out of action for a similar period after scans revealed the extent of damage to the broken hand he suffered in the development side’s first-up match against Sandringham.
