Max Augerinos and Jake Marshall are set to miss the rest of 2017 with season-ending knee injuries.
Both players will undergo surgery in the coming weeks to repair ruptured ACLs, Augerinos’ injury coming early in Werribee’s 24-point loss to Footscray on Saturday and Marshall’s during a training incident earlier in the week.
The pair will have the full support of the club and medical staff through the rehabilitation process as they look to return to the field in 2018.
The news is looking more positive for Aiden Adams and Tom Ellard, who were both involved in head clashes in the Tigers’ development side’s breakthrough win over Williamstown but have escaped serious injury.
