The 2017 season is over for the Werribee Football Club, but Harry Kershaw, Harry Boyd, Matthew Brett, and Jahd Anderson still have a job to do.
With the Tigers’ VFL and Development League sides both out of the finals race, all four players have returned to their local clubs in a bid to boost their premiership chances.
Kershaw’s Geelong Amateur side has reached the final hurdle and will square off against Torquay in the Bellarine Football League Grand Final at Drysdale’s Mortimer Oval on Saturday.
Boyd and Brett will both line up for Shepparton in its do-or-die clash with Rochester in the Goulburn Valley Football League first semi-final at Euroa Memorial Reserve on Sunday, while Anderson will also face the prospect of a sudden-death contest when he runs out for Cobden against South Warrnambool in the Hampden Football League first-semi final on Sunday.
The Werribee Football Club wishes all four players and their clubs the best of luck this weekend.
