The Werribee Football Club has been deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Terry Sheahan at the age of 66.
Terry played senior and reserves football with Werribee during the 1973 and 1974 seasons, serving as the players’ representative to the board during that time. His dedication to his teams and the role saw him rewarded with Best Clubman awards for the Second XVI in 1973 and the First XVI in 1974.
Terry’s involvement at Werribee has helped build an enduring Sheahan legacy at the club. His father, Roy, served as the inaugural vice president and was chairman of the committee that founded the club, while brother Mike played 63 senior games before establishing himself as Australia’s most well-known and respected football journalist.
Terry is survived by his long-time partner, Arlene; his son, Peter; and brothers Michael, David, and Gavin.
The Werribee Football Club extends its deepest sympathies to the entire Sheahan family during this difficult time.
