Werribee ruckman Nick Nott looks set for an extended absence after sustaining a knee injury in Saturday’s loss to Collingwood.
Nott will undergo surgery during the week to determine the full extent of the damage and the required rehabilitation process and timeframe.
It is a disappointing blow for both the club and the first-year player, who had made great strides in his development over the opening rounds of the season.
In more positive news, Ethan Petterwood looks a strong chance to return from his for Werribee’s home clash with Footscray on Sunday, May 20, having been a precautionary omission from the Magpies’ clash due to calf tightness.
Luke Hitch and Spiros Amarantidis will also both be available for local selection this weekend after successfully completing their rehabilitation for their respective ankle and hamstring complaints.
