There were plenty of wins enjoyed by Werribee players at local level last week and once again some significant individual performances.

BENDIGO FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Brady Rowles - Eaglehawk

Executed his on-field role well as Eaglehawk secured a 15-point win over Sandhurst. Regularly dropped back inside defensive 50 to provide an extra number behind the ball.

EASTERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Tom McCaffrey – Balwyn

Kicked three goals in a 170-point demolition of North Ringwood. Enjoyed a big third term before finishing with 22 disposals and four tackles. Sent the ball inside 50 nine times.


GEELONG FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Toby Mahoney – Bell Park

Played his part in Bell Park’s second win of the season, a 37-point victory over Lara. Finished with 14 disposals and 4 tackles.

Emmanuel Ajang – Geelong West

Played a mix of mid and forward and made the most of his 21 possessions, 12 of which were contested. Also bagged a goal in the one-point win over Colac.

Noah Gribble – Geelong West

Was terrific on the wing in the Giants' thrilling one-point victory. Collected 32 disposals with an efficiency of 84%. Kicked a goal on the siren to end the third quarter. 

Flynn Young – Grovedale (Local Player of the Week)

Best on ground with four goals to help Grovedale to a two-point triumph over Leopold. Always looked dangerous having 13 possessions at 85% efficiency.

Marty Brennan – Grovedale

Worked his way into the match and finished with 15 disposals and a goal. Competed well and worked hard off the ball as Grovedale overcame Leopold by two points.

Logan Wagener – Leopold

Had 14 disposals along with 4 tackles in a two-point loss to Grovedale.

Gennaro Bove – Newton & Chilwell

In his first game this season had a solid impact and used the ball well. Came away with 16 disposals at 81% efficiency in an 8-point defeat of South Barwon. 

Sam Witherden – North Shore

Played as a midfielder again and was the Seagulls' second best in their 23-point win over St Albans. One of the possession leaders with 31 disposals including 13 contested.

Darcy Chirgwin – St Mary’s

Gathered 17 disposals, three tackles and a goal in a 40-point triumph over St Joseph’s.


OVENS AND MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Tom Boyd – Wangaratta Rovers

Had a strong game in attack with a notable impact in the second half. Took some big marks and finished with three goals, seven score involvements and four tackles.


VICTORIAN AMATEUR FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Aidan Johnson – Old Brighton

Helped Old Brighton to their sixth win of the season as one of his side's best players in a 25-point triumph over St Bernards.


WESTERN REGION FOOTBALL LEAGUE

 Akol Deng – Yarraville Seddon

Competitive and physical in the ruck in his first game for the Eagles. named third best after having 49 hits-outs and 11 disposals in his side's 69-point loss to Werribee Districts.

Spencer Johnson – Altona

Displayed his high footy IQ and assuredness with his decision making to work up 23 disposals and five marks in Altona’s 28-point win over Hoppers Crossing.

Harrison White – Werribee Districts

Delivered a solid small-forward performance with two goals and seven tackles in a 69-point victory over Yarraville Seddon. Didn’t waste many disposals.
