Werribee suffered their third loss by under a goal this season, falling just short in a two-point defeat to Geelong on Saturday.
In the second of back-to-back home games, Werribee booted five goals in a spirited last-quarter fightback, but the Cats held on to win, 11.15 (81) to 12.7 (79).
